Friday we had Peter, Tom, Tim, Kevin, and Rich out to get another shot at some bruiser bluefin. We got set up in the same spot as the week before and marked bait and tuna but just couldn't get a bite. Made a little move and some of the same. Made a small adjustment to the rigs and in a minute we had the first fish on! Peter did a great job landing a 57"er in 15 minutes. Reset the lines and within 15 minutes we were tight on another. We got several looks at this fish and he was big! All 4 guys got a chance to fight this fish. We could have taken this fish a couple times with a harpoon but we already had our over 47" fish in the box. We eventually chafed through the leader after an hour and forty minutes but it was a released fish none the less. This fish was mid to high 60" range and probably close to 175lbs. After the fight we wrapped up and headed to the barn. Back at the dock, Peter's fish weighed in at 110lbs. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.

Today we had the Bob Woodman charter out for our first bluefin trip of the year. We did a little looking around and found what we were looking for, dropped the hook, and got the spread set. Missed the first bite on a jig then hooked up on the bait rod after about 10 minutes of fishing. The rod went back and forth a few times between anglers, but after 30 minutes we had a 55"er in the box. Reset and 30 minutes later we were tight on another. Bob got this one to the boat in about 15 minutes and released a 52"er. We had fairly steady bites up to 7:30 when the tide, and the bite, died. So we pulled the hook, made a little move and went on the drift. 15 minutes into the drift, Mike hooked up a big fish on a diamond jig. Mike did a great job and fought the fish for 3 hours to boat side. The fish measured 65" and was around 150lbs. which was released. We wrapped up and headed home after that one. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.

We had Ron, Scott, Joe, Jeff, and Joe out for a shared charter today running right back to where we had the fish the day before. Being Saturday, the boat traffic was ridiculous, so we head off and had fish pretty much to ourselves all day. We had over 35 bites today with 12 fish coming to the boat, keeping 9 and releasing 3. We had some bigger fish today, 35-65lbs, wtih most being in the 40-45lb range. Perfect conditions and a great crew made for a great day. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.

Today we had the Mark Lucier charter out along with his wife Liz and their friend Bill. We started fishing at the 100 line around 6am. I could only get 6 out of the 9 lines in before we had 5 yellowfin on landing 3. The rest of the day we picked at the fish tallying 7 tuna out of about 18 bites, keeping 5 from 35-45lbs and missing a white. We had a great time with all of you and look forward to doing it again!

Just Capt Sr and myself on the boat yesterday, baits in by 5:30 and the first yellowfin of the season for us hit the deck at 6:00. Tons of action throughout the day with 26 yellowfin brought to the boat out of 50-60 bites. Lost some fish due to mutiple hookups and only one angler. We also went 0 for 3 on bigeyes. Two mutiple misses on the bars and one hooked up for about 10 mins. Saw the fish take the bait 20ft off the transom, easy 5 1/2+ foot fish. Fish ranged in size from barely legal to 75lbs and everywhere in between. We have this weekend and plenty of weekday availability for canyon fishing and whatever else you would like to fish for, give a call to jump on.

We set out in search of drum, the bite started rather slow but we were able to squeek out a few fish for the trip. Lou connected on both of our drum landing a 70lber followed by a 35lber. Both fish were released. Looking forward to doing it again guys.

Today we had Jay and the boys out for some drumming hoping to pick up where we left off on Sunday. We set up on the same numbers with a few good marks but only produced two fish. So we made a move and it payed off. Before we could get all the lines in, Tom was hooked up. When that fish hit the deck, 3 more rods folded over. We picked at the fish the rest of the trip and when the dust settled we had 12 drum to 90lbs. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.

No charter today, so myself and my girlfriend Jeanine went out drum fishing for a couple of hours. The bite was definitely on, as I didn't fish and Jeanine proceeded to land 10 drum to 85lbs in 2 hrs.

This morning we had the Kevin Fitzgerald charter out for some spring linesiders. We got the best bait we could find and made a long run up the bay looking for fish coming out of the river. We had a slow morning with some hits that the fish just dropped the baits. Finally, just before the end of the trip, Kevin connected and landed a 24lb striper. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.

Today we had Pat's  tandem trip with Skip from the Stalker. We set up on some marks and it didn't take long to put the first drum of the season in the box. Skip moved in and got on the bite as well. The two boats tallied 5 drum to 30lbs and had many other bites. Things are definitely starting to get going again and the stripers on their way back down the river. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again. Skip, as always, a pleasure working with you.

We had a steady pick of stripers throughout the trip boating 14 fish and keeping 4. The guys also had 20 or so more bites and pulled the hook on a couple of definite keepers behind the boat. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to fishing with you on your tuna charter this summer.

Today we had the Rich Wayne charter out with his brother Mike and friends Jim and AL. Fishing started off slow with a couple of throwback stripers and some missed bites, but toward the end of the trip the fish really turned on. The guys tallied 4 keeper stripers and about 30 throwbacks. We had small pods of fish moving through at times and had double and triple hook ups. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to fishing with you again for your fall striper trip.
