12-8 Tuesday we had the Tony Tartaglia party aboard long with his son Anthony, and friends Willy, Mike, and Rich. We started out live baiting out front and put a couple nice bass in the box. We had to get up on troll though because we were getting hammered by all the 3 to 5lb flounder! We put a few good fish in the box trolling then headed for the rips and caught a bunch more. The guys tallied about 25 bass with 5 going in the box to 35". Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.

12-6 Sunday we had the Bob Fox charter out for a tog/striper combo trip. With too much wind for toggin in the morning, we ran up the beach looking for some bass. We found a small pile of fish and the guys proceeded to bang away at them. The guys tallied 20 bass with 5 going in the box to 35". We dropped the fish off at the dock and ran out for some tog. The wind was still blowing pretty good so it limited us to areas we could fish. We had a slow pick of fish with 10 going in the box including two 6.5lbers and Dennis' 11.5lber! Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.

We did have 4 bass hooked up only to pull the hook on 3 of them and put one in the box. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.

10-21/22
Wednesday we had John LaMorte and his friend Eric out for our final tuna trip of the season before switching over to stripers and tog for the fall and winter season. We put baits in the water around 2:30pm and trolled til sundown looking over the area, we found some great sign but couldn't buy a bite on the troll. Overnight we could only muster 1 tuna bite that pulled off on the initial run and 2 dropped swords. The sharks, however, gave us plenty of action throughout the night. We probably had around 20 shark bites releasing 2 bluesharks, 70 and 200lbs, released 2 makos, 70 and 100lbs, and boated a 72" 150lb mako. We also had 5 more confirmed hook ups with makos, not to mention what the other 10 hook ups could have been, either blues or makos. If we were targeting sharks, it would have been and awesome trip! At sun up we put a couple of hours in on the troll but again no tuna bites. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again!

9-5/6 Saturday we headed out for our first overnighter of the season with Marc, Pete, Mark, Nick, Sean, and George. We started trolling around 2:30 and not long after raised a white that just didn't want to eat. We worked the area for a while raising another "window shopper" white then picked up and ran to another area before dark. As we got the trolling spread back out, another white checked out our pattern before turning off. Finally, we got a hot white to come into the spread and Sean was hooked up! Sean did a great job of fighting his first ever marlin, we got some pics and a good release. We then set up for the night chunk, before we could even get the chunker set up, Marc was hooked up on a real nice tuna only to pull the hook on the initial run. We had a real nice drift throughout the night, towards the end of our first drift, we started to mark some fish, dropped down the jigs and got hooked up right away. We had 4 guys jigging and, I believe, at one point everyone was hooked up. We were getting a mix of skippies and small yellowfin. This happened a couple of times along this drift. The guys were able to put 4 yellowfin up to maybe 30lbs in the box and released 2 or 3. One the next drift, some warmer water moved in from offshore and pretty much shut down the entire bite with the water temp jumping 5 degrees! We had a few more bites, pulling the hook on a real nice tuna, and Mark doing battle with a sword for close to 30 minutes. We had the fish only 25 feet under the boat and got some real good looks at it, but it chafed through the leader with its bill which was light and meant for a tuna. The sword was low 60 inch class and probably between 100 and 125lbs. That was it for the night, on the troll the next morning we raised a few more whites before heading home. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom

8-30 Today we had Mark, Liz, Jess, and Rick out for an inshore troll trip. We started off picking a few false albicore and worked our way offshore. When we arrived at our second spot, the fishing took off! We had upwards of 40 bites, landing a dozen or so albies. We picked up and ran inshore to see if we could get a shot at a shark and we did with Mark releasing a small brown shark about 20lbs. Everyone had a blast catching these hard fighting fish on light tackle. Thanks for fishing with us and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom
|
8-15 Saturday we had the Bob Woodman charter out to canyon. We had action less than an hour into the trip with a white marlin coming to check out our spread. He smacked a green machine twice but failed to find the hook. We then hooked up and landed 2 20+lb dolphin for the box. We worked our way offshore and found some great sign! Bait, whales, birds, flying fish, it all looked perfect. The only bite we got was from an 80+lb white marlin which was fought to the boat, got some pics, and released. We couldn't raise any fish the rest of the trip but the guys had a good time. Thanks for fishing with us and look forward to doing it again.

8-13 With the Fishin' Fever III back in business, we had the Chip D'Angelo charter out for a day troll along with friends Mike and Scully. The guys hung in there with monsoon like rain in the morning and 20+ NE winds in the afternoon. We started off with our first 2 bites of the day to be both from white marlin, only to bat a couple baits and swim off uninterested. Finally we came tight on a bite and Scully landed a nice 25 lb bull dolphin. We had a couple of tuna bites that come unbuttoned and another nice dolphin spit the hook 20 feet from the boat. After that, we had another white come tight and Chip landed a real nice one for some pics and release. Next up was Mike coming tight on a white, only to pull the hook but not before some great jumps and back flips. Ten minutes later, Mike was tight again on another white, but this time getting the clean release after some nice pics. We only had one dolphin for the box, but were 2 for 5 on white marlin. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom

8-11 Tuesday we had the Nick Funari charter out for a canyon day troll along with his sons Nick and Joe. With the Fishin' Fever III down for some maintance, we brought the guys on board Capt. Bob Beideman's boat Fish Trap. Joe started things off with a small yellowfin for the box, followed by Nicks nice dolphin. We then had a white come into the spread and Nick Sr. was on it. Real nice 68" white came up for a few pics and a clean release. Nick added a few more dolphin for the box. Then Joe release his first white marlin. At the end of the day Joe added one more 55lb yellowfin for the box. In all we were 2 for 4 on whites, 2 yellowfin to 55lbs, and 4 20+lb dolphin. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.

7-13 Monday we had Greg, Charlie, Sean, and Mike out for some big bluefin. We elected to troll on this trip to cover some ground and not fish in the most popular spots as the boat traffic was terrible even during the week. We fished some unnamed structure and had our first bite, only to pull the hook after a few seconds. Our next bite came tight and Greg, Charlie, and Sean all took a turn on the rod. After a great fight the guys decked a 50" 78lb bluefin. We immediately had another bite as soon as the lines were set, only to pull the hook on the initial run. We had a couple more mystery bites and landed one 15lb dolphin before heading home. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom
|
7-11 Saturday we had the Chris O'Meara charter out to the flounder grounds. We had a bit of a slow start but finished up decent. The guys were able to box 6 keepers to 24" with about 35 throwbacks with less than stellar conditions. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom
|
7-8 Today we had Frank and John LaMorte out for some bluefin tuna action. We had lines in at 4:30am, and surprisingly, we didn't have our first bite until 7:30. John was on it and landed a 42" bluefin for the box. Lines back in and it didn't take long before John was hooked up again and 40 mins later had a 57" bluefin on the deck. Our next bite was a mako that we had on for a short time before getting to the mono leader. Immediately after set the lines out, we had a 45"er that we released, followed by a 12lb dolphin that found the fish box. The guys had enough action so we headed in a couple hours early. Back at the dock the fish weighed in at 49lbs and 111lbs. Nice fish! Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom
|
6-27 Today we had the Jim Stelmak charter out for some deep water flounder fishing. A ripping tide didn't help matters much but we were able to put a decent catch together with 8 keepers to 6lbs and about 35 throwbacks. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom
|
6-26 Friday we had Rich, Dave, John, and Joe out for their tuna trip. The original plan was to do the bluefin thing but the guys decided to forego the inshore tuna and head offshore to look for some yellowfin. We had baits in the water before 6am and started to look. It took a little while to dial them in but we did and had some great action. We tallied 13 yellowfin with 1 just legal and 1 45lber going in the box. We also had a real nice fish hooked up for about 25 minutes only to pull the hook less than 100 feet from the boat. We also had a mako bite off and saw a blue marlin tailing. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom

6-25 Thursday we had John, Margo, Rich, Dave, and George out for some deep water flounder fishing. We were greeted with fog and a stiff 15 knot wind, but the fluke didn't mind as we started to catch right out of the gate. We had a steady pick throughout the morning and continued to catch as the wind let up to flat calm conditions. The crew tallied 12 keepers with 2 being 6lbers and about 50 throwbacks. Thanks for fishing with us and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom
|
6-8 Today we had the Scott Phillippi charter out to look for some bluefish. We had fish right away and steady action throughout the entire trip. We tallied around 40 big blues to 11lbs keeping a dozen for the box. Bluefishing is outstanding right now so don't hesitate to book your trip! Thanks for fishing with us and look forward to doing it again!

6-4 This afternoon we had John and his father Tom out for their private drum charter. We hit a few different spots with just some doggies and skates to show for our efforts. The last move proved to be a good one. John hooked up with a 30lb drum and went in the box for the table. Not long after John hooked up again and landed a real nice 85lber that was revived and released. The bite died a little and we headed home. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom

5-25 Monday afternoon we had a private charter of Teddy, Bob, Nick, and Joe back out to where we left em biting on Sunday. It only took a few minutes before Joe was tight on our first fish of the night. The action continued with double and triple hookups for the rest of the trip. The guys hooked up about 25 drum, boating 15 and keeping 5 for the table. Most of the fish were between 55 and 75lbs except for maybe 2 40lbers. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again!
Capt. Tom

5-24 Sunday we had the Lance Bingham charter out for some drum. We set up on some marks and it didn't take long to connect with our first drum of the night. We pick away at the fish for the whole trip hooking up 12, boating 7 of them, and had some swings and misses. Fish ranged from 30-75lbs. Thanks for fishng with us guys and we'll see you in the fall for your bass trip!
Capt. Tom
|
5-22 Friday afternoon we had the Ray Seddon charter aboard along with Jackie, Ron, Jack, and Nick. We were headed to an area that along with most other boats, but along the way we ran into some great marks and decided to give it a shot. I had the first 2 lines set and was getting the 3rd ready as Jackie set the hook on our first drum of the trip! Not a bad start. We proceeded to pick at the drum the rest of the trip while weeding through the relentless doggies and were able to put a decent catch together. We boated 5 drum between 55 and 85lb with Nick taking big fish honors and also high hook. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again!
Capt. Tom
|
5-20 Today we had the Joe Moran charter out for their drum charter. With a real slow bite in the past few days, we ventured off by ourselves to see if we could find something. We set up on some marks and stayed put the rest of the day. The guys tallied 3 drum and had a bunch more bites that just didn't connect. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom
|
5-16 PM In the afternoon we had the Rick Burkett charter out along with Shorty, George, Josh, Melissa, and Cathleen. Conditions were less than favorable with 20-25 knot winds against the tide. Everyone fished hard though the bite just wasn't happening. Finally during the last hour of tide the bite turned on big time! We wound up going 4 for 8 on nice drum weighing 37, 45, 45, and 54lbs. Thanks for fishing with us and look forward to doing it again!
Capt. Tom

Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again!!!

5-9 PM Saturday afternoon we had Bob, Sonny, Pierce, and Joe back out to get in on some drum. We tried a few different areas but none were producing. So we decided to make a drastic move. We set up on some decent marks, started sifting through the dogfish and finally Bob hooks up and lands our only drum of the trip, a 32lber. From everyone I talked to, the bite was off all over the bay for whatever reason. Thanks for fishing hard guys and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom
|
5-9 AM Saturday morning we had the Rich Federico charter along with Nick, Pat, Pete, and Kevin out to see if we could get in on some of the great drumfish action the Delaware Bay has to offer along with the full moon. We found an area outside of the fleet and within 10 minutes were hooked up with our first drum of the morning. We had steady action with some doubles and even a triple hook of drum. Other boats moved in on our position after seeing rods bending, even as close as 50 feet away! The bite slowed, because of the boat crowd, so we made a short move and were rewarded with 4 more drum before the tide ended. In all the guys tallied 13 drum to 55lbs and pulled the hooks on 6 more out of about 35 bites. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again!
Capt. Tom

The guys had around 40 tog with 23 being keepers, a limit in the box and released the rest. We had 2 fish over 9lbs, 4 between 8 and 9lbs, and at least a dozen between 5.5 and 7lbs. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.

4-24 Friday we had Dave and Doug Brady out for their private charter. With the slow bass bite the guys decided to forego the bass and look for some tog. We got on a decent piece of structure and proceded to wack some tog. The guys caught around 20 tog with a limit going in the box to 18". We then ran up the bay to look for some drum. We did have one hooked up but pulled the hook. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom
|
4-19 We had the Dave Rowan charter out to see if we could come up with a few fish. We were greeted with flat calm conditions, but that didn't last long as the East wind steadily picked up throughout the course of the morning to a brisk 30 knots with higher gusts. The guys hung in there but only wound up with one lonely bass just short of the mark. The bite has just been off the last week. Hopefully with the new moon on the 24th fishing will pick back up. Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to our next trip.
Capt .Tom
|

4-18AM Saturday morning we had Phil Kachnowich and friends back out on the bay. We picked up where we left off on Friday trying for some fish on artificials but they just weren't eating. We moved off past a fleet about a mile or so, all by ourselves and found some marks on the bottom. We dropped the hook and set out the clam rods. It didn't take long to get the first bite with Phil putting one in the box. We stayed in the same spot until the end of the tide and the guys tallied 5 bass with 4 going in the box up to 32". Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again.
Capt Tom
|
4-17 Friday we had Teddy and the boys out on the Delaware Bay looking to score some bass. Things were pretty tough on the clam bite, so we mixed things up by moving areas and looking for some fish on artificals. We found some bass breaking water and started fishing. In all, the guys tallied five bass with 4 going in the box up to 35". Thanks for fishing with us guys and looking forward to our drum trip in May.
Capt Tom

4-13 Today we had Mike, Brandon, Jim, Tom, and Rick out to see if we could find some bass after the hard NW blow the day before. It seemed the pod of fish from Saturday made a move as that area was dead. We looked around and found some marks and stayed on them the whole trip as noone was doing anything from the reports I was getting. Jim started things off with putting a great early spring bass of 23lbs in the box! 20 minutes later Jim is on again, this time with a 19lb bass! We hit a bit of lull for a while then Brandon bowed up on fish which turned out to be our first drum of the 2009 season weighing in at 32lbs. We stuck it out for the rest of the tide and a little of the next but nothing doing. Thanks for hanging in there guys and for fishing with us. Looking forward to doing it again.
Capt. Tom
|
4-11 Today we had Sonny, Pierce, Mike, and Bob out looking to get on some bass. We were greated with 25-30 knot NE winds, but we powered out to an area that I thought would produce. Our first drop produced only a couple of bites despite some decent marks, so after a short time, we made a short move and it prooved to be the right move. We had multiple double and triple hook ups with drop and reel fishing! The guys tallied over 50 bass with close to 20 keepers to 36"! Some red hot bassin! Thanks for fishing with us guys and look forward to doing it again!
Capt. Tom
|
4-9 This morning we had the Mike Brown charter out along with Mike, Joe, and the boys, Matt, Tommy, and Mitchell. We checked out a bunch of places looking for some fish but things were pretty slow throughout the fleet. We were finally able to connect with some fish towards the end of the trip. The guys tallied 15 bass just none for the box. Thanks for fishing with us and look forward to doing it again.
